What are Cathode Bars?
Steel cathode bars are used in the electro-refining of copper, zinc, and other non-ferrous metals. They serve as an electrode in the electrolytic cell and are responsible for collecting the pure metal during the refining process. Cathode bars need to be strong, durable, and corrosion-resistant, which is why high-quality steel is the preferred material for their manufacture.
